Antique English Pottery Bread Bowl

English journalist William Cobbett declared that “without bread, all is misery.” An overstatement?  Perhaps.  If you bake bread, let the dough rise in this bowl. If you dream of bread but never make it, at least enjoy the mustard hues and the fact that this bowl from the 1880s has survived long after the crust has been used for bread pudding.
